I can't recommend this guest house enough! The rooms were very comfy, spotlessly clean, and incredibly well equipped. The location is perfect to explore the wonderful market town of Keswick, and the local buses are fantastic, so there was no need to move the car from the very handy private car park. Breakfast was very tasty, and I loved the individual fruit and yoghurt pots. And Paul makes a perfect poached egg; always the sign of a good establishment! They are such a friendly, and welcoming couple - nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

Paul and Nicky are the perfect hosts.They made us very welcome .Lovely room and a separate lounge if you wanted a quiet read ,with teas coffee fresh bakes and a drinks bar with an honesty box .We had a delicious breakfast , fresh fruit, yoghurt and a choice of cerials and dried fruit , followed by a choice of cooked breakfast . We have already booked for next year. The guest house is 5 min walk to the town and weWe're able to leave our car in their driveway.

This is by far the best experience I've had for a bed and breakfast stay. The rooms were beautiful and omg the bed was so comfortable, it had everything you needed including and iron, hairdryer,slippers and dressing gown. The breakfast was amazing (now I'm awkward) lol but it was made to perfection and a wide variety of cereal, fruit and yoghurt. There's a chill room with free tea and coffee oh and cake to die for. I've never been to a hotel that has honesty boxes but was so chilled and totally enjoyed my weekend I would definitely book again just fantastic 😊

I stayed here for 3 nights this week with my mum . We had the best time ! Our twin room was lovely with comfy beds , plenty of storage space and a really nice bathroom with shower . It's so central for access to town , lots of walking and good bus routes , Sunnyside also has off road parking which is a plus in Keswick! If you've never been , you need to give it a try !

We have been coming to Sunnyside annually for many years, and it has always been good. However, since Paul and Nicky took over in 2019 it has got better and better. It has always been clean and comfortable and offered a very good breakfast, but now there are many extras such as fridges in the rooms with fresh milk, delicious home made cakes in the lounge, and evening meals for when the restaurants in Keswick are just too busy. My first visit to Sunnyside impressed me. It is in an excellent position for all local facilities. This is a pleasant cosy guest house in a very convenient location with the special and much appreciated feature of a sitting room with free cake, tea and coffee on offer every day, plus drinks to buy. The only disappointment for us was that the heating in our room was not working properly, and though we asked, was not checked. Perhaps the radiators need bleeding but a cold bathroom was not much fun.

A gem of a place in the beautiful town of Keswick. Our hosts could not be more welcoming and thought of everything to make this such a great place to stay. Some of our favourite little touches were the slippers in the foyer to change into after a muddy walk, freshly baked cake and hot drinks in the guest lounge (which was also full of games and books), the comfiest mattresses on the beds, a huge selection of continental and cooked breakfasts! The location of the place was perfect, right in the centre of Keswick with so much to do right on your doorstep, and short scenic drives to other local attractions. We climbed Scaffel whilst there, an hours drive from Wasdale Head carpark and 20mins from the Eskdale route. Would absolutely come back again! A perfect base for exploring the beautiful Lake District.

Had a brilliant stay in newly refurbished Room 8 (twin) room. Nicky and Paul have done a great job updating the room as it really is a nice place to be, with the en-suite shower being spot on too.Breakfast was superb as always, and very tasty and we loved the cappuccinos from the new coffee machine.The best thing I can say about Sunnyside is that every time we stay, it feels like we are staying at a friends house as that’s how the rooms and the way Nicky and Paul make you feel. The communal lounge area was an added bonus for us, which meant that we had somewhere to relax on the day we weren’t walking whilst our daughter did her studies and as expected the food was excellent coping with our dietary needs exceptionally well ( not over baring, but helpful). Lovely guest house in a perfect location. A short walk to the town centre and many bars and restaurants, and a nice stroll to Derwent Water for further walks or to take a boat ride.We had Room 5 which was a good size with a nice comfy bed. Breakfast was excellent every morning. We enjoyed sitting in the Lounge at the end of a long day where there was tea/coffee and cake to help yourself to, plus an Honesty bar.Really enjoyed our stay.

Paul and Nicki are quite simply the best hosts and nicest people you could wish to meet.Always attentive and friendly looking after your every need.The accommodation really is second to none ,the breakfasts were freshly cooked to order and delicious ,home made bread ,quality tea leaf tea ...The Sealy bed was so comfortable giving you a good night's sleep, furnishings and decorare to finished to a high standard.. The guest lounge is homely and inviting with tea,coffee and home made cake available. The guest bar is an added bonus following a walk in the lakes . Sunnyside is a home from home and THE place to stay in Keswick. From the moment you arrive you can use the off street parking and not have to worry about leaving your car on a side street. You are always welcomed like an old friend and each room is set out to a very high standard. The beds a very comfy. The breakfast is second to none and a wide array of choices. Very close to the town centre also quiet enough to be able to relax. If you want to know how much I like Sunnyside im going back in two weeks time!

You can't go wrong with Sunnyside. The hosts Nicky and Paul are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them, they make you feel almost like family. The full English breakfast is always cooked to perfection, and if you chose to purchase an evening meal, at very reasonable prices I might add, you will be just as satisfied. The rooms are immaculate and very comfy, and if you fancy a change you can always sit in the guest lounge and read one of the many books on offer, or even indulge in a slice of Nickys homemade cake. This was our second visit and we have already booked to visit again.

I spent a fabulous 4 nights at Sunny side. My room was brilliant. Everything I needed. Perfectly clean. Comfy bed. Great shower and bathroom. The lounge is really good, very comfy chairs and sofas. Always coffee and tea on hand, along with other beverages.Breakfasts were really lovely, plenty of choice cooked perfectly.Fabulous hosts Paul and Nicky always make you feel welcome and are very helpful.Will definitely be returning. After trying several B&Bs in Keswick, Sunnyside Guest House is by far the best. The hosts Nicky & Paul were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spotlesslyclean, quiet and well equipped with a lot of attention to detail and the beds very comfortable. Varied breakfast menu which was freshly cooked to order and also very good. The guest lounge was an added bonus together with the delicious, homemade cake.

This is a gem of a B&B. Paul and Nicky could not have been more welcoming and accomodating. They have mastered the art of providing the perfect B&B experience. The breakfast was delicous as well and provided all the sustenance required for a hard day on the hills. It was not surprising to learn that the majority of their business is returning guests. We stayed for new year last year and returned again this year. Lovely greeting on arrival, rooms are beautiful and equipped with everything you need. Just back from 2 wonderful nights stay at Sunnyside guest house! Lovely warm welcome when we arrived and wanted for nothing. Delicious breakfast both days and coffee and cake available (small donations optional for local charities) in the guest room. I stayed for a long weekend. The check in was friendly and welcoming, the room spotlessly clean. Breakfast varied and beautifully prepared. The relaxing guest lounge is a very nice extra, with bar and a nice selection of books and magazines. The hosts are really knowledgeable about the area and happy to give advice. I have stayed in many Bnb's but this one I would say was the best - for price, comfort and experience. Nicky and Paul are genuinely kind people who obviously care that you enjoy your stay. They lay on everything you could wish for, from spotless, attractive, comfortable rooms with ensuite bathroom and little touches like Kendal mint cake and biscuits, to a great breakfast with loads of choice, to freshly baked cake on arrival, a whole guest lounge with hot drinks and bar, books, sofas - etc! They dried my shoes, lent me a brolly, let me pet their dog and cat, I could go on. I felt safe and welcome. The house is so central I never had to move the car and as a solo traveller, this was a heartwarming experience and I will definitely be back. Thank you so much.

My son and I had another brilliant stay at Sunnyside, it really does tick so many boxes for us. Excellent location with off-street parking, superb rooms, very tasty breakfast and always a warm welcome. Added benefit of having an EV charger is so good as the infrastructure in Cumbria isnt quite there yet, so no anxiety needing to charge on the way home. First time we'd used the living room and the added benefit of onsite drinks was very welcome and great idea. Sunnyside really is a home from home for us. So much so, my mum and partner also came with us this time. We all loved it and will be back again.

Our room on the first floor was really well furnished, pleasant and extremely comfortable. Breakfast with our family was an enjoyable time with choice of healthy menu catering for all. Lunches available too. In the evening we found the lounge an ideal time to enjoy a beer or in my case aJura malt whisky and relax together. There was sponge and fruit cake too, donation given to Keswick mountain rescue. It is a unique B and B and deserves it's popular status.

A lovely friendly guesthouse. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. Good facilities, including a guest lounge with cake, teas, coffees, wine, beer, games and books. Lovely breakfasts! Situated in a quiet, yet very convenient part of Keswick, just a few minute walk from the centre. Lovely walks from the doorstep. Car park was a bonus as parking on the roads would be very tight!

Spent an excellent weekend in keswick with my friend Bob and you would be pushed to find a more relaxing and enjoyable bed and breakfast than the Sunnyside. Had two wonderful nights here with thanks to Nicky and Paul (and their friendly pooch). A great friendly and helpful welcome with all the local advice happily given. Close to the town centre, the building and room were exceptionally clean, hygienic and airy. Plenty of supplies in the room, tea, coffee, fresh milk, bottled water and bathroom needs including delightfully soft towels. A fantastic little guest lounge area with choice of home baked cakes, teas, beers, wines, spirits etc. making for a comfortable social gathering place. The room itself was warm and comfortable with a generous sized bed and lovely soft pillows. We were short of nothing. The cherry on the cake was the individually cooked to order breakfast. We have never had one better. Lots of choice, fresh ingredients and some original ideas that you do not often find all that often. Well done Nicky and Paul, we will see you again.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at Sunnyside Guest House. We were really impressed with our room, we stayed in a standard double room which had one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. The room had a lovely en-suite with a nice shower and some quality toiletries were provided. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided in the room. However, there is a nice guest lounge where you can relax with a piece of homemade cake, (help yourself, just leave an (optional) charity donation) and a drink. The owners Paul and Nicky are great hosts, Paul cooks the breakfasts, and very nice they were too, and Nicky serves them. All in all we had a very pleasant stay, so much so that we have already booked a return visit.

Sunnyside is the best guest house in Keswick by a country mile. Every time I go back I’m treated like an old friend. The rooms are modern and clean with very comfy beds. Amazing choices for breakfast. Lounge is a nice quiet place to relax away from it all.

Our room was carefully and mindfully thought out andwell executed . Soft furnishings , lovely art work. Modern and done with great taste. The same excellence running through the whole guest house. I have just spent 4 days at Sunnyside guest house in Keswick and as usual I have had a lovely break and everything has been perfect. Paul and Nicky are perfect hosts and can’t do enough to please you.My room was lovely and clean, the lounge had the usual Nicky cake for us all to help ourselves to and if we wish to put a donation in one of the two charity boxes, well that is nice, and believe me it’s delicious home baked cake. The breakfast menu has a very good choice for everyone and I can recommend that too. I also enjoyed 3 of the light evening meals that you can have which are very adequate and tasty and very reasonabley priced. All in all a perfect, relaxing break in a beautiful house. This was my first visit of the year to Sunnyside and I wasn’t disappointed at all. Paul and Nicky were as welcoming as they always are. I even got a special welcome from Lillie the dog. Our room was the newly decorated room 4, one of our favourite rooms. The room was spotless and bed was very exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast was of an exceptional standard, the quality of a freshly cooked breakfast was a great start to the day. We also had an evening meal which was great value for money and very tasty. Having the small bar in the lounge area meant we could enjoy a meal and a drink without having to leave Sunnyside. We then sat and relaxed in the comfortable guest lounge and took in the amazing views of the fells. There is no better bed and breakfast in the lakes and I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I’ll look forward to our next visit with excitement. Thanks again Paul and Nicky, you’re both brilliant! 😊

Warm, welcoming, a convenient car park, superlative attention to detail. Where to start? Locally sourced toiletries in the bathroom, shower caps, make up remover towel, vanity mirror, mule slippers and bathrobes, enormous towels, towel warmer, extremely comfortable beds, pillows of different firmness, gorgeous views, fridge in room with fresh milk for tea and coffee, local biscuits provided. Charming sitting room with home-baked cakes (high quality and delicious) and hot drinks with an honesty bar with local beers and spirits. Breakfast AMAZING! Local jams and sauces, home made granola or cereals, little jars of fruit, toasted home-made bread, full English with any combination/number of ingredients or eggs Benedict. They also have two cats and a dog hidden away, who are adorable and extremely friendly if you need a pet fix. For me, they were the fairy dust sprinkles on an already perfect stay.Highly, highly recommended.

We had the pleasure of staying at Sunnyside Guest House for a couple of nights. We wish it could have been longer! A beautiful house in an excellent location; quiet but not far from the centre. We stayed at Sunnyside for one week (walking holiday) and had no complaints whatsoever.Our comfortable and clean room (8) was ideal and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. We enjoyed the extensive menu at breakfast, which was cooked to order by Paul and efficiently served by Nicky. We made good use of the lovely Guests' Lounge - it was nice to enjoy freshly filtered coffee and homemade cake in the lounge after our long walks and a very generous idea of our hosts to have donation boxes available for their chosen charities. As the premises are licensed it was nice to have a 'nightcap' in the lounge at the end of our day. We also took advantage of the lovely homemade evening meals available in the dining room.We always got the feeling we were "coming home" when we entered Sunnyside.All in all, a very relaxed stay with delightful hosts.

I have returned yet again to Sunnyside Guest House and as usual everything was perfect. My room was lovely and had everything I needed and was spotlessly clean. The breakfast is wonderful , and should you require a nice light evening meal I can highly recommend that too. There is a very nice lounge where guests can relax and enjoy a piece of Nickys home made cake and if you would like to donate to one of the charity boxes in return that would be appreciated.. I've never stayed here before, however this certainly won't be my last time! This place is amazing, everything was spot on from the moment I booked. The place itself is immaculate giving me an indication that everything else would be perfect and it was. There was plenty of hand gel around the property and the owners Nicky and Paul were helpful, friendly and above all perfect hosts. The biggest thing that stands out for me is the little things, like tissues, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner all provided as part of the deal. Now onto the breakfast...... this was amazing and certainly didn't disappoint.... I've stayed in places where the food has let a place down but not here ... it was done to order and hot! Most of all I loved all the individual pots of everything which were just enough meaning that people don't help themselves to loads then leave food. We came back on the Saturday evening to home made cake in the lounge so we finished our perfect day off with a cuppa and cake....... the parking is the biggest things for me, off road parking so close to town means this place is a gem of a find! I just hope after such a good review I can manage to book again! I am honestly struggling to find a single fault with this cosy b&b. Thank you Nicky and Paul for a great weekend.... your accommodation was the icing on the cake.

We wanted to walk catbells and other local walks, Great locations on quiet side street in Keswick. 5 min walk if that to pubs and restaurants. The hosts are very welcoming with lots of extra touch. They have fantastic knowledge of the area and walks they do themselves, Rooms spoltless very compfy beds with thick quality mattress, Espa toiletries in bathroom shows the quality and attention to detail. Lovely lounge to relax in after a long walk, with many books of area and board games with drink facility and lovely homemade cake with donations to lake district charities. Breakfast had a good choice and was pipping hot when arrived. Nothing too much trouble for them. Me and my 20 year old son wanted some time together doing some walking, we stayed in the triple room. Have already recommended to family and friends.

Sunnyside is an exceptionally lovely b&b very close to the centre of Keswick. Comfortable, immaculate, well-equipped rooms, great breakfasts and super-friendly hosts in Nicky and Paul. But it's all the little extras that make a huge difference: a lovely guest lounge with coffee and cake always available, an honesty bar, a little fridge in each room, dressing gown and slippers... and if you can't face the hoards in town, the availability of simple evening meals is yet another bonus. Sunnyside provides a fantastic location base for Keswick town and surrounding area, with parking!Friendly welcome and Nicky and Paul are so helpful and informative with advice on walks etc and an overall friendly feel to the place.Lots of nice little details which I find important like quality bedding/toiletries etc and the guest lounge is set up to encourage guests to socialize which I’ve rarely seen work anywhere but does here, helped by the coffee which is always on…..and the cake 😉Overall a lovely base and a relaxed holiday x

This was our first visit to the Lake District and Sunnyside didn't disappoint! We had a 3 night stay, Nicky and Paul were so friendly and welcoming (and their gorgeous dog Lily). We stayed in room 4 which was exceptionally clean with the most comfortable bed. The smell of freshly brewed coffee drew you to the well equipped guest lounge where you can relax after a long walk (with the temptation of some cake too)! Plenty of choice for breakfast which was wholesome and delicious. A big bonus was the off street parking. An absolute pleasure, you're doing a brilliant job

My premium single room was well appointed and immaculate. For the price I didn’t expect the additions like a robe and slippers, an iron and ironing board and a fridge with fresh milk. I frequented the guest lounge with free freshly brewed coffee and cake, a small honesty bar and lots of books, magazines and local information. I chose to order an evening meal one day and enjoyed a delicious chilli con carne. Nicky and Paul are great hosts and did everything they could to make my stay pleasureable. Oh, and they do a great breakfast too.

We stayed for a couple of nights on a weekend away. Great location-just 5 minutes walk from the town centre. On site parking was big bonus. The room (5) was lovely-so cozy and warm. The robes were a lovely bonus and appreciated - as was the cake in lounge! The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and very tasty. Lovely friendly hosts offering local knowledge on walks and the surrounding area. We'd love to return for another stay.

We had a lovely stay at the Sunnyside Guest House.The room was super comfortable (one of the best beds ever) and spotlessly clean.Lots of great little touches to make the visit even nicer, and we loved the guest lounge to hang out with coffee and a newspaper.Breakfast was brilliant too!

A very warm welcome on arrival and a beautiful room, attention to detail all over the establishment is exceptional. Clean, tidy, with pleasant up to date decor.Lovely food and plenty of it. Off St parking and above all else, it was warm and cosy inside when it was below freezing outside.My only complaint is that they should charge MORE! They are too cheap for the quality that they offer!!🤷‍♂️🤭

Sunnyside guest house Keswick is the perfect place to stay in Keswick.Paul and Nicky are the perfect hosts.Paul cooks a lovely breakfast and Nicky has a lovely smile and they make their guests feel very welcome and nothing is to much trouble. Nicky bakes lovely cake which she leaves out for you to have and enjoy with a donation of your choice to charity.The gust house throughout is very clean I would not hesitate recommending this property to anyone.

Really enjoyed my stay, Paul & Nikki very helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them.I came up for from Manchester and stayed this past weekend (sept 24), and ran the Keswick Half Marathon at the Rugby Club.Room was very spacious with nice sized bed and tea/coffee making facilities, the shower was lovely too. This is my 4th visit to Sunnyside Guest house, my 2nd this year. It is located just a 5 minute walk from central Keswick and has on site private parking which is an added bonus. The rooms are spotless, nicely decorated and have all facilities including luxury toiletries etc. The beds are extremely comfortable. Breakfasts are excellent, well cooked, and use high quality ingredients. The owners, Nicky and Paul are very friendly and knowledgable and nothing is too much trouble.I will definitely be returning.

Very comfortable room, and bed, with plenty of space for two tub chairs. Spotless and well thought out bathroom with wide range of quality toiletries, lots of towels- and lots of shelf space. Not many B and B's offer wine glasses and a cork screw, fresh milk and chilled water in minifidge and slippers and dressing gowns- well done Sunnyside. Breakfasts were also excellent with some very clever touches such as individual covered fruit pots, butter in covered dishes and covered individual juice carafes. We had a lovely stay.

Just returned, today, after staying at Sunnyside. Nicky and Paul are excellent hosts, best hotel we have ever stayed in. Perfectly prepared breakfasts cooked to order with quality ingredients, even the toast is baked by Nicky. Very clean throughout with a good range of toiletries and an upstairs lounge with ‘fridge containing milk for coffees and teas during the day. Second time staying with Paul and Nicky at Sunnyside Guest House. Perfect hosts, lovely clean room, with fragrant bathroom supplies, delicious 😋 breakfast, with lots of choice. Parking spaces available, that's a plus.The guest house is in walking distance from Derwentwater and Hope Park with it's colourful display of flowers, it's beautiful. Keswick has all the local shop you could need. A brilliant short stay. Badly needed respite for us. The welcome was lovely, we felt at home immediately. Every little detail was covered , the bedroom was lovely and clean. The lounge was comfortable, the delicious homemade cakes were amazing. Breakfast was yummy. The town centre was lovely, easy walking distance. We went to the lovely family run cinema. Easy access for wild swimming, just a short walk to the lake. Lovely fish and chip shop. Great shops. Couldn’t really have wanted more. 5 stars from us. We will be back. Thank you.

This is my third stay at Sunnyside guest house. It is located just a 5 minute walk from the centre of Keswick with its own private car park. The rooms are all well equipped (including a fridge), are very clean and well presented.Breakfasts are excellent and uses high quality local produce. There is a good choice of food available and gluten free diets are well catered for.The owners (Nicky and Paul) make excellent hosts, and even provided complimentary tea/coffee and homemade gluten free cake in the lounge which was most welcomed after a hard day's walking.I would definitely recommend Sunnyside guest house and I will be returning soon.

Just back from 2 nights at Sunnyside. Nikki and Paul are the perfect hosts. Very welcoming and helpful. My room was well equipped and clean, the breakfasts are very varied and beautifully cooked to order. The atmosphere in the dining room and guests lounge is very relaxed and Nikki even bakes stunning cakes for the guests to enjoy. Just had a wonderful 3 night stay at Sunnyside Guest House. We were greeted with a very warm and friendly welcome from Nicky and Paul. They were the perfect hosts who have a great knowledge of the area and helped with our days out. They made the effort and made sure we were always happy and they were always willing to help if required. Parking is not a problem as you can park in the hotel which was a godsend this is definately a plus. You are given a parking pass to use which is in the folder in the room. The building is beautiful with lots of original features, it was exceptionally clean and very well maintained to high standards. The room was spotlessly clean with quality bedding, towels and again the extra nice touch of the lovely lakeside toiletries/hankies etc. The wifi was free and in the rooms. Even after a long day out you come back to some home made cake which is a very nice touch.Breakfast – Breakfast was absolutely delicious, quality products were used and really set you up for the day ahead. The choice was amazing with branded cereals, fruit, yoghurt, home made granola (amazing), cooked breakfast made to order (bacon, sausage, beans, tomatoes, hash browns, eggs (any type), egg benedict, toast. You are given 1 sausage, 1 slice bacon but if you want more than that then you just ask. Nicky always asked us after we had finished whether we wanted anything else too.I also loved the extra little touches throughout the breakfast area from the small milk bottles, jars with granola and fruit in. The service and attention to detail was second to none.Location was perfect, very central and only a few minutes walk and your in the centre with shops, bars and restaurants. There are some lovely parks around the property and the lake is also on your doorstep.We don't have anything negative to say about Sunnyside Guest House, it was perfect from start to finish, I cannot recommend this highly enough and the price to stay is exceptional and worth every penny. If you are looking at this venue then I suggest you stop looking and just get it booked as you will not be disappointed.Thank you again Nicky and Paul, keep up the good work – also loved your little extra touches throughout the hotel it shows how committed, dedicated and take pride in your hotel it is lovely.Hope to see you again Lorraine and Graham (from Hull)

I had a 3 night stay at Sunnyside last week, it being the 2nd time I have stayed at this lovely guest house. Paul and Nicky are great hosts, the rooms and house are always spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very filling each morning. Being centrally located in Keswick is very handy for the shops and eateries etc. Having its own car park is a bonus as well. Just returned from a two night break, thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Reviews accurately reflect Sunnyside, initial call handling for our booking etc. gave an instant positive vibe and this continued during our stay. Such a lovely guest house, our bedroom was beautifully furnished very bright and up to date. En-suite immaculately clean, modern and bright. So much attention to detail and very well equipped there was nothing we could fault. Very good breakfast, well cooked and ample choice. Communal areas and a comfortable and relaxing lounge, there’s even coffee and home made cake available after a long walk. Definite bonus is the off street parking too!! This was our first visit to Sunnyside and we’ll definitely return. Thanks to Nicky and Paul for a wonderful stay.

We spent three nights at Sunnyside guest house,everything was perfect, the room was beautiful with everything we needed and more, the bed was soo comfy it was hard to leave it for the plentiful breakfast cooked to perfection. It's only a short walk to the town centre (5 mins ) and also free parking which is a big bonus. The couple was very welcoming and we will definitely be visiting them again .

We arrived on 10th Dec for our Anniversary treat, we were welcomed by Nicky and Paul with coffee and cake in the beautiful lounge,they made us so very welcome and nothing was a bother. Stayed 3 nights end October-homemade cakes on arrival-very warm welcome by Nicky andPaul. This was our third visit and booked again for June next year for a week this time.Sunniside has the benefit of a guest lounge where there is always a pot of coffee brewing andA good selection of teas. Whole place is spotlessly clean and rooms have a fridge with milk,Bottled water,tea making facilities and biscuits. A great selection of Love the Lakes toiletries forGuests to use. There is a fan, a heater and iron and ironing board in the wardrobe and a hairdryer.Plenty Coat hangers-really they have thought of everything. This is by far better than any hotel.Breakfasts excellent with wide selection of of fruit, jams, juices etc. Highly recommended.

I have just had a 3 night stay at the Sunnyside guest house and had a fab time. I stayed in room 3 which is a very confortable single with en-suite. The guest house was spotlessly clean and very modern. Breakfast each morning was superb. The hosts, Paul and Nicky were very friendly and made it their business to please everyone. It is ideally located in the centre of Keswick with the high street only a 2 minute walk away. I would highly recommend staying here and I look forward to returning in the near future.

We have just had three days at the Sunnyside Guest House and we had a lovely time. Our room was really pretty and had everything you needed for an enjoyable stay. We don't normally book breakfast but we were really glad we had this time as there was a great choice and everything was delicious. Had a great stay. The room had lots of nice touches such as fridge with milk, nice bathroom products etc. Nicky and Paul were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. The lounge was a good size and well stocked with books and games. Would definitely stay again. Keswick was busy, so parking was tight in the area but Sunnyside has space for some off street parking.

We've spent a fantastic three nights at the Sunnyside Guesthouse! Impeccable service from Nicky and Paul! Very neat and spacious room! The full English breakfast along with the fruit salad were so delicious and energetic enough to propel us to the Scafell Pike summit.It is so close to the Derwentwater Lake (Nicky was so nice to show us the shortcut route to the Lake), Latrigg mountain (kudos to Paul for explaining us on how to go on this beautiful hike) and to the main shops/restaurants/pubs in Keswick. Special hello to Lillie and thank you for the cuddles!If ever you want any motivation to hike, just go in the lounge and read the James Forrest book (only the preface will do the trick)!We'll be back soon in our quest to conquer the Skiddaw! Perfect ,from the moment you meet Paul and Nicky you know you have found a five star plus B&B , lovely hosts, a guests lounge to chill with home cooked cake and coffee . Nom nom. Nicely decorated comfy spacious bedrooms , close to centre of keswick and lake,on site parking ????. We have recently returned from a very enjoyable stay at the Sunnyside Guest House.Very warm welcome upon arrival from Nicky & Paul to their lovely home.Parking is a plus in this area as so close to the town centre as very busy all year round. Rooms lovely clean and comfortable and toiletries on hand, excellent breakfast with a good choice of menu that lasted us all day.Paul also very informative on the Lakes & walks as he has done most of them himself which is very helpful when new to the area.We have already booked in advance for 2022 cant wait.

Sunnyside Guest House provided an excellent day for 7 nights in Keswick in single room no. 7 (July/August 2021).The room was spacious with a desktop and even a little fridge (how cool is that!), and the en suite toilet/shower were really clean with toiletries provided. The breakfast choice and preparation were excellent, and even small details had been considered / prepared for e.g. small scissors with which to cut sauce sachets. Moreover, pieces of cake were even placed in the guest lounge for consumption, which was so kind!The location was really good too! It is walking distance to the shops and main supermarket, and one can walk to and from the bus station too. Therefore it was a suitable base for going on walks without a car.Nicky and Paul are doing such a great job - it must be a lot of work to prepare the breakfasts and deal with all the guest changeover and all that this entails e.g. cleaning, but thank you ever so much for doing this so that people like me can come and have a lovely stay in Keswick! It really means something!

Nicky and Paul were excellent hosts. I came by train and bus.The guesthouse isconvenient for the town centre which has a market on Thursdays and Saturdays. There are several restaurants and bars, including the 'Clerk of the Justices Wetherspoons pub and restuarant.The Lake and the theatre is also convenient.Nicky and Paul ensure that residents are safe. Breakfasts are excellent with a good choice.The rooms are excellently decorated with attention to detail. They are spotless.There is a spacious lounge with many books cake and tea and coffee. There is a telescope providing a view of Skiddaw mountain.I came away with every intention to return

Fabulous stay at Sunnyside, the room was immaculately clean, I arrived rather early but Paul and Nicky let me check in anyway. My daughter and i stayed here for 2 nights and i can say we were both very impressed with the guest house, our room was very clean with lots of nice touches (kendal mint cake) and we especially liked the guest lounge with constant hot coffee and tea, together with lovely home made victoria sponge cakes. Paul and Vicky made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble, breakfast was very tasty and the home made bread was also a nice touch.Overall I would totally recommend you come and stay here and myself and my daughter will definitely be back soon.

We stayed two nights at Sunnyside, and it was good to find that rarity in Keswick - a B&B that was conveniently close to the town centre and had a car park, albeit small, so involved a bit of shuffling around of cars. The room was smart and comfortable with a modern en suite. The breakfasts were good, and with plenty of choice and flexibility. There were nice touches like a sitting room with an honesty bar, and free fresh milk in the fridge. We needed to leave early on our last morning to catch a Scottish Island ferry, and the owners were very helpful in serving breakfast earlier than usual to allow us to get away on time.Overall, a pleasant stay and a good choice if visiting the town.

I have had the most enjoyable time at Sunnyside with two friends. From parking up in the car park and then the lovely welcome from Nicky I can’t fault this place The rooms are always so spotlessly clean and inviting, the beds are so comfy too, the guest lounge is a great area to unwind in after a day on the fells. You won’t get a better breakfast anywhere than here. Even special requests (grapefruit at breakfast) are catered for. Paul and Nicky are excellent hosts and I can’t recommend this place highly enough. ?????????? I’ve been twice this year and will definitely be back again and again!

I have just had a lovely 2 night break at Sunnyside. I stayed in Room 3, which I found clean and cosy. Nicky and Paul are excellent hosts, who go above and beyond to make your stay, a pleasant experience.The breakfast is great, with lots of choice and an added bonus with off street car parking.I highly recommend Sunnyside Guest House, which is situated a mere 5 minute walk from the town centre.

A most comfortable, welcoming stay at Sunnyside. Nicky and Paul made sure that our every need was catered for, including a delicious breakfast with a large variety of choice. This is a real Gem of a place to stay in lovely Keswick. Excellent standards throughout with Stylish bedrooms and comfy beds. We stayed from the 7th to 9th September and our room was spotless.The television didn’t work but as soon as we reported it this was fixed. The breakfast on both days was delicious. Having stayed here several times previously due to its excellent location and parking, we booked another stay here. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly couple, Paul and Nicky, who immediately introduced themselves as the new owners.The room was very clean and fresh, with a comfy bed. The breakfast menu was varied and it was apparent that they only sourced the best produce as the breakfasts were excellent. Throughout our stay the atmosphere was relaxed and we were made to feel very welcome.We would not hesitate to recommend this B & B and we would like to wish Paul, Nicky and their family every success for the future and we look forward to seeing them again next year.

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel extremely welcome. The room we stayed in was lovely, everywhere is spotlessly clean and the residents lounge was fantastic - well stocked with books, magazines, games and suggestions for walks. Since 2013 I have stayed at least 3 times a year at Sunnyside. Anne and Sean are very friendly hosts, the premises are spotlessly clean and the breakfast is excellent. The off road parking is a major feature and it is only a few minutes walk to the bars, shops and restaurants. I would recommend it to anybody.

We have stayed at Sunnyside many times in the past and have recently returned from another very enjoyable visit. I stayed here over Easter whilst visiting the Lake District. the location is great & only 2 minutes walk into the town centre. The single room which I stayed in was a decent size, spotlessly clean, quiet and very comfortable. The owners are very friendly and helpful if you have any queries. It was a really affordable single room too, which is often difficult to find. I will definitely stay here again.
